Ricktastic Tuesday:

I had another epic explosion today, but in review, I think most of them are mental rather than physical.

I hit pony club on the front and tried to hold 650(ish) Watts, the lessening of sounds behind me suggested others were hurting or plain old gone, but no sooner had I taken confidence from that, then Warrack rolling past declaring he'd "lend a hand". I tried to lift to get on his wheel, but but instead imploded... and moments later he did too. The HR and power numbers weren't super extreme, i think it was just the shock of him looking super on control, but a couple of kms faster that cracked my poor, pain riddled brain.

Surprisingly, that wasn't the most pain of the day though, those (two!) moments both came courtesy of Ricky driving the pace. We rolled out to Elgar today, and on the last couple of rollers on Belmore I found myself side by side with Rick, or rather I found myself side by hip with Rick as he ramped the pace higher and higher until all conversation stopped behind us (shocking given Ryan was on board).
