Hell Ride:
I thought all the hitters would be tapering for the nationals, and on that I was pretty right, but what I got wrong, was assuming that'd translate to a slow Hell Ride. It wasn't quite last week where we were clocking 54km/h into the headwind, but I certainly wasn't jumping to put my nose into the wind.

I tried (again) to set up a KOM win by going clear from Olivers, but despite Sam Pickering coming with me, and a couple more making contact over the top, it was not to be. The lights at Humphries rd (again) spoilt the party.

I reckon that's the game I'm going to play for the rest of the summer though. Gap everyone up the steep kick, and see if it can be held through to the turn off the highway. For the moment, at least, it's going to take a few solid legs as company, as I'm no where near good enough at TT efforts to make it solo, but I think it's doable. Alistair essentially did it last week, but I'm talking about me doing it.
