Rush Shop Ride:
Again with the rain! I thought there was a good chance I could get a shop ride in, maybe spin an extra 10-20km, drink a coffee or two... nup, instead we water sheeting off the road, and down our glasses. Melbourne 2, Neil 0.

That sounds a bit negative, in reality I had a blast. We had enough time to get humming along the road back towards St Kilda before the wet happened, and even then, it wasn't cold. By the time we hit Luna Park it was just DK, Sewelly, Jaako and I, chopping hard turns and hoping that there wasn't any new potholes on the road we could no longer see.

DK was obviously left on the front the most/longest, but we ran a semi track/paceline hybrid, so each of us had spells out front before someone would roll up with the rest in tow. I tried my best to match DK's number of turns, but in the end I had to be satisfied to roll a couple less than him, and a couple more than Sewelly.

Doing that delivered exactly what I felt I needed, a good threshold session. So good that it exceeded the best power I'd done in 2015 for 18-30min.
