Hell Ride:
Mark this day down in the diary, the first ride started in just bibs and a jersey thanks to a northerly pulling heat out of the centre of the continent.

Said Northerly was a big contributor in the speed we held going southward, a nice, big, warm hand in the middle of the back, making sure we hummed along at 50 for a good chunk of it. Even then, a few boys skipped clear, and it wasn't until we hit the slopes of Olivers/Hopes that things came back together. Lights at Humphries ensured it was groupo compacto, but the guys from Inform seemed eager to split things back up. After a steller tow by Josh Toohey set me up to go went clear with 3 of them, but this the lights caught us, rather than letting us stay away.

There's not much to talk about for the return leg though, I held wheels, and when a couple of guys got through a light on the tail of a green that caught the rest of us, the enthusiasm left the whole bunch. Oddly someone got eager after Black Rock, as the was a line of single file riders hugging the gutter through Sandringham. It seemed a bit silly, all I wanted was to tick the clock over 100km, and get 2nd breakfast.
