Ricktastic Tuesday:
It felt like the 3 boys that rolled with me this morning, were out more for their mental than physical health. Sure Ricky half wheeled me all the way up Doncaster Rd from Bulleen to Balwyn road, but it felt more like habit than intent.

Where we were going for coffee mattered more than what time was set up pony club. That's not to say Pony club was cruised, it's Tuesday after all, and that means it's a big ring climb. If you want to spend time gazing at the golden light filtering across the green rolling hills, or reflect on how there are the barest hints of fog clinging to the grass around the coated horses standing idly in the field, then do so after you've reached the roundabout.

As the sun broke through the fog it glistened on the dew that had settled on the fields from the night before. The only noise that could be heard was the smooth transition of gears as we tried to find our rhythm up the climb. As the climb went on, the breath become heavier as the effort increased. Only 400 meters to go..... hang on.....

The ease at which Neil rode off on the rest of us seemed like boys competing against a man..... A strong man..... a man of great will and determination..... a man with striking good looks and a zest for life.

How we wish to be a man like him......
