5:45 NRR long:
That was a solid morning on the bicycle.

No single moment threatened to bring me undone, but many moments strung together certainly added up to something significant.

The Becoz boys were feeling fresh and set a strong tempo on the way down to Frankston. Other than the first turn to get things rolling, I left them to their own devices and saved myself for the lumpy stuff.

Sam Gifford did all the hard work on the lumpy bits past Frankston, only dislodging me out of the final corner of Two Bays.

Then I rolled turns with a large chunk of the bunch all the way back to St Kilda.

The hills bits are still the most important to my ego, and being only a couple of metres off the first 3 riders at the Two Bays roundabout certainly stokes the feelings of self worth.
