CX Shenanigans:
It ended up  being a solo mission today, but despite a lack of unsuspecting people to turn up steep climbs, I found some giggles. Being solo meant that I had the pump track to myself, so could get a dozen or so pedal free laps in without having to worry about passing moves. Being solo also meant I could push as hard as I wanted, and get myself to more trails than we have been recently. Basically, I had a blast ripping trails in the early morning light, with my brain slowly reducing thoughts until it was just about the best lines. There were some drifts, there were plenty of hops, and there was a totally spazzed out stack.

I pushed on some sections, and if I was being honest, it was strava that kept me that way. I hit a couple of steep climbs, and I knew someone, somewhere, would have made a segment for them, and that they, and possibly others, would have had a crack. It feels kind of dirty admitting a web leader board might drive me, even if only for 100m at a time, but I've typed it now, and if you're reading it, then I've obviously not been able to backspace out my terrible, terrible shame.
