6am NRR:
I rolled some turns on the way south, but the pace wasn't really earth shattering and my mind was on the hill out of Black Rock. Obviously I've used it as a cheeky tester of myself and the bunch before, and today was no exception. I wanted a cheeky test of where I was at (could I push myself for 2ish minutes), and where I was at compared to others (could I ride people off my wheel). Of that latter point I became pretty confident when several attacks strung out the bunch up Rickets. I knew there would be hurting legs.

At the top it was just me Pauly Addler. I was happy with how hard I'd pushed, but I felt I'd cheated the bunch slightly. It was slightly messy when I rolled to the front, and if it was hard to get onto my wheel to start with, then that means I didn't ride people off it. Anyway it was good to get the cheeky test in, and I'm not disappointed with how my body responded... I think that means I should be good for tomorrow night at HCC, and might be on track to race ok at the SKCC super crit.
