6am NRR:
There was a cracking northerly this morning that made for a quick trip south, and a slog in the gutter home. Heading to Mordi I found myself off the front with Youngie and tall Nathan, I wasn't super keen to pull turns, but in a 3 man group, I'd be the worst kind of human if I didn't pull through even a couple of times... so I did.

A couple of red lights brought us back to the bunch, and from there on, I didn't stick my nose out until Ormond Esplanade and the sprint lead out. Finishing the ride off with some solid pain so that I didn't feel lazy, and to keep the pattern for racing in my brain.

Normally there's one spot on my legs that is worse than the rest, left ITB, or maybe even right VMO. Today, there was no gimmies, nothing that didn't send the rest of my body into full contortions. My dignity went out the window, and I went through the first 4 stages of loss. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, and Depression.

I'm going to need to spend a lot of time with the foam roller, and some more time on Andy's workbench.

Still, there is one positive out of all of this. If my legs have been this twisted, then that may be the cause of the ongoing knee issues. Why their state was not picked up by some of the sports professionals I've seen is a very different topic that I'm going to ignore for the moment.
