MTB Shenanigans:
When my road riding partner fell through after I'd pulled on my bibs, but before I'd grabbed my shoes, I made a literal and physical pivot towards my mountain bike shoes instead. The day outside my window looked crystal clear, and I hoped the trails were dry, because I was keen to get some dirt therapy in.

The roll across town again made me lament my lack of CX bike, but cutting lap after lap of the Kew pump track before snaking my way through a bunch of the other inner trails, it stopped mattering. Fat tyres stopped feeling like cheating, and started to feel like a gateway to more aggressive lines and opportunities to get airborne.

The knee reminded me a few times that I was probably well into the over doing it zone, but I didn't really care, there were trail features to pump and corners to rip.
