Fernie MTB Shenanigans:
My brother organised for us to hire a pair of mountain bikes from Fernie, and I organised for a pitcher of beer at lunch. The bits before and after the pitcher, we worked together to create a day of adventure, and wondering if we were retardedly unfit, or if the Canadians really did just have steeper hills.

I'm not sure the answer to that either, though it's probably some kind of combination of the two.

Anyway, the trails were lovely, and we had a great time... until the moment we discovered a poo with fur in it. Yes it was an oldish poo, and yes it was fur and not lycra, but it still made us feel a whole lot less like the top of the food chain all of a sudden.

I'm going to have to come back to Fernie with my own bike, possibly a squishy 29'er, but definitely a bike that is dialled to my liking.
