MTB Shenanigans:
The trails were a little greasier than last week. You;d be hooking along, bike bent over through a turn, onomatopoeia (I'm too lazy to make one up), but before you know it, you'd be gripping again. This left me slightly giddy and a little bit giggly... but I was riding solo. For a while I pondered if that made it ok to laugh like a school girl or not. On one hand, no one was around to witness it, but on the other, if someone did come across me giggling to myself...

I started off the session at the Kew pump track, and finally, after years of scrubbing speed, found the perfect line through the tight corner, which left me going fast enough to hop pump some of the rollers. After a few dozen laps and only a couple of pedal strokes, I was stoked, and possibly over confident, because later on, descending above bellbird park, I got a bit too cocky and high sided myself.

Even with a tweaked wrist and slightly bruised ribs, I continued to have some of the most delightful monos of my life. At times it was zen like. I could feel an issue, then take my time to make the exact correction required to literally keep the good times rolling.
