Hell Ride:
The Hell Ride served a few purposes today, mostly it was about getting 100km in the legs early, with a few efforts to ensure that some adaptation happened. Given the size of the bunch (it was fairly huge), I tried to keep myself towards the front, rolling to the front and into the wind when it was necessary, but mostly just enjoying the still, 20° C air.

How good is Jack's face at the bottom?

I hit Olivers near the front and with a modicum of Gusto, enough to be in the first few wheels, but not enough to chase down Matt Boys and a Sydney bloke who'd flicked clear off the front. I let others set the pace until Olivers, but miss read the riders in front and thus timed my effort to come around the bunch. A small group pushed clear, and though I was able to match it's pace, I wasn't near the 'win', which irks me a little.

On the return leg, I rolled a few more turns, then worked with DK to string the bunch into the base of Rickets. Neither of us wanted to sprint, so figured why not unload the legs and make those who wanted to sprint, really suffer for it.
