FCC Crit:
Footscray CC started their crits back today, and they ran early enough that I could get a race in, then roll over to Williamstown to watch Bay Crits. Perfect! Time to go see what state my legs are in.

The field was small, the wind was strong and my legs were somewhere other than in Victoria. I attacked as soon as the race was live, punching a good gap and drawing out Fewie then a couple of others. When Fewie came through I suffered, then we got caught and I figured I could just sit in for a bit, especially given that Tozer went up the road with a couple of others.

Fast forward 15 or so minutes later, I pulled out with a heart rate well past 180bpm. It's possible that Hendo is to blame, or that I was a little poor at avoiding the wind, or that I responded slowly to surges and wasted energy getting back on wheel. Whatever it is, it was not happy happy leg times, and I feel like I have work to do.
