Hell Ride:
I've sort of missed the Hell Ride, I love riding with pro's in a non race situation. I like riding with them in races too, but it tends to hurt more.

Anyway, I've missed the ride and it felt like the perfect thing to do on a possibly rainy Saturday. Greg Henderson agreed, at least I assume he agreed as he was there too. I wasn't able to confirm as he was up the front going like stink (despite claiming to be unfit), and I was about 15th wheel, squarely in the gutter, hanging on for dear life.

Eventually the pace eased back, and I got a chance to wish everyone I knew a merry christmas and a happy new year, which given how many people I knew, filled the time to Frankston perfectly, but left me poorly positioned for Olivers. So I went up with the bunch, watching as a few guys danced clear, wishing I was playing with them, but thankful that I was on solid wheels who would cover the gaps for me. I moved up over the next few rollers, finishing up in 3rd or 4th wheel as we hit the red light at Canadian bay rd. That was kind of reassuring, being able to hold onto Tommy Leaper as he chased Pat Lane assured me that my fitness hadn't completely left me.

The question that still remains is how deep that fitness goes. After I got home I was pretty much done for the day. I planted myself on the couch with various forms of cricket on the telly, and made plans for tomorrow.
