6am NRR:
After yesterday I had all but made up my mind to take today off, ride CX tomorrow and then race the weekend. Last night over a romantic sea side hamburger and chips, DK said he was in for Northy, and just like that, my plans changed. I want to be fast, I want to be fast soon, but I also want to hang out with my mates and have a few giggles. No one is paying me to get fast, hell, I don't even remember the last time I got an envelope from a race, so I need to maximise other kinds of returns from the sport.

I sat in for the ride, giving out the occasional hand of god to popped riders, wondering if every set of light was going to be red (they pretty much all were), and finally winding up the start of the sprint before lights at the Elwood canal put and end to that.

As we pulled up to a stop there in Elwood, 6 guys simultaneously lamented that they'd been in the perfect position. I couldn't help but laugh, logically 83.3% of them were wrong. I told them they were all wrong and I was going to win it from the front, kierin style.
