NRR (TTT pacing):
I rolled outside the bunch chatting to Leigh until around Southland, then a little while later, when the TT boys decided it was time to make happy happy leg times, I jumped on their tail and settled in for a solid TTT pacing session.

Other than the tradie that veered from the right lane into our path around Brighton, there isn't much about the riding to note. What is of note is that I hit similar heart rates at similar points to both the recent Bak Pocket, and TKM rides... both of which popped me. This begs the question, was the issue then just mental?

There's an old saying "it never get's easier, you just go faster". I think i fall into the trap this aims to avoid. As I start finding some form, I expect it to be easy. For me it might be a simpler process,  and lets face it, when you're hurting simple mental things are best, to think of it as "it never get's easier, you just get more reward for your pain".
