As I reached for the CX bike to roll to work I spied it's smaller wheeled, but fatter tyred cousin behind it and knew it was the better choice. Today was definitely a lazy roll on the mountain bike kind of day. A bit of mono practice past the bumper to bumper car traffic on Chapel St, then a coffee, before finally rolling in to work feeling relaxed.

Talking of relaxed, I swung a last minute appointment with Andy Naylor and when I rolled up, I asked for something different. I asked him to work from the buttcrack up, rather than the usual request of legs only.

I can't say it was a pleasant experience. Sure the conversation was good, and JJJ had an interesting topic for HAC playing in the background, but there's something about elbows and thumbs raking muscles that are tigher than a hillbilly's banjo strings that set the teeth on edge and causes toes to cramp.

We'll see how it goes, but my hope is it will aid in getting the upper body low and relaxed without any discomfort.

Next week I go back to get the legs done... I'm scared that it may hurt even more.
