SKCC World Champs:
There were moments today where I had visions of victory in my mind, I pictured coming round the corner into Drysdale road in a select front group, fighting for the wheel that would deliver me to 75m before the line.

Sadly, that's not how it played out. I was feeling good through the first lap, but I was poorly positioned into the 2nd lap and got shelled. I formed a group with Wilko and a few others, working hard to catch more riders who were off the back of the front bunch... only to get shelled from them at the same spot.

Ok, so that wasn't ideal. I was disappointed with myself and my fitness, pretty much convinced that I'd be useless at the Warny and thus not even enter it. Then I saw my power numbers. My 50 minute power was some of the best I've achieved in the last year, given they were achieved on the flat rather than on a climb... well it's left me in a very weird head space about where my fitness is at.
