Hell Ride:
I'd organised to go into the hills with DK tomorrow, so I wanted a ride that wouldn't destroy me today. It's been a while, so I ensured I had enough time to get three quarters of a flat white into my body before the roll out.

The mild northerly kept the pace up and the front of the bunch filled with dodgy wheels, I put myself on the front to avoid the mess, but eventually decided to roll back into the bunch and keep some legs for the hills. When we got to Olivers I rode my way to the front, cresting on the wheel of the lead rider, it was great... well until I realised he wasn't turning the legs off. He kept the pace on and I realised I'd gone too deep on the hill. I slipped backwards into the first little bunch and stayed there for the rest of the hills.

The ride home was nice, a headwind kept the chaff that rejoined the bunch at Frankston away from the front which allowed me to kept my nose safely hidden from the wind.
