NRR Long:
Today was one of those mornings that's so brisk you start evaluating how far back you'd have to sit in the bunch, for the bodies of the riders in front to heat the air a noticeable amount, and then weigh up if that's better or worse than riding on the front, copping the full cold, but generating more heat for yourself.

Rolling through Chelsea my gps tells me it was 2.2°c, and given while sitting behind Bing I could feel both my nose and ears, I believe that Bing's lack of arse lets the cold straight through, but his increasing ego was enough to warm the air at head height. It's the only logical explanation.

Anyway, there were some hills, and I felt ok on most, well i felt pained, but I was ok with that. On Two Bays i felt less ok, in fact i felt quite annoyed. You see, I'd gone over the top of Canadian bay in 4th, Matt Boys and AJ had a 15 meters clear of Pete Smith, myself and whoever was on my wheel. I was in the process of mentally preparing for the pain of Two Bays when I heard and felt something behind me. I turned and saw my saddle bag in the middle of the road. I stopped, turned around, shoved it in my pocket and prepared to calmly make up ground on all the riders that had just whipped past me. I was doing an ok job, the guy in front looked be be slowly coming back to me as I turned into the climb then I heard my saddle bag flip out of my pocked and hit the asphalt again. Supreme frustration.

Oh well, I'll have to wait until next week to see if I can stay with the little blighters up Twp Bays.
