Today was a battle, a battle between what I wanted and what was right. I wanted to just sit in and maybe sprint, what was right was to not leave my mates doing all the work.

I'm going to try and hold my form (possibly even squeeze a bit more1 minute power) until vic masters track champs, but given the way my body has rebelled twice in the last week, I'm going to ensure I'm resting enough, and if I'm not, I'm going to reduce my training stress.

So, back to this morning. The bunch got split on the way down, leaving only a dozen or so people making the turn back North at Mordi. There weren't many willing to work, and neigh on all of those were Rush riders. So yeah, I rolled through with my mates, pulling nice turns until we got back to St Kilda and a hot coffee, because sitting in would have been the wrong thing to do.

While running some errands I decided to reclaim a Strava KOM on a little road near the Tan, Airlie St. The 4 second PB and little crown makes me happy, but it was the new power PBs that really made me grin. Brand new numbers between 9 and 29 seconds of effort, with some massive strides in the 20-25 second range.
