Hell Ride:
The other day I noted Ash Thomas had started writing again, and then to see him at a ride I was on... well it felt like it was 2008 all over again.

I worked a bit on the way down to Frankston, the bunch holding a higher speed than I expected into the headwind. Once there I got to test myself on the rollers to Mt Eliza.

Into Olivers I got a little boxed, and by the time I pushed my way out into a clear lane there were 3 riders dashing up the road. I tried to match their kick to the re-entry to the highway while leaving a little in the legs so I could drive hard across the false flat top. It was all me until the final crest when a couple of others rolled off my wheel and closed the last couple of metres. I again felt like I was a couple of percent off where I was pre christmas, but was pleased at how well I stayed in the box.

The next couple of rollers were an exercise in recovery and cheap places before the final run up past Canadian Bay Rd where I was once again just a little off the pace but close enough to see the guys I want to beat.

St Kilda East - Dights Falls - St Kilda East:
It was a nice afternoon to work on tanlines so I went for a roll with Dawnski along the Yarra up to Dights Falls and back.
