6am NRR:
There's a tiredness that a hard block of training gives you, before the ride I believed I was experiencing it, after I believed it even more. Ungh, and next week is scheduled to be harder again.

I span the little ring in the bunch on the way south and rolled turns for who knows how long on the way north. Somehow, despite the occasional rest from the working group, I always seemed to have Danny Cohen rolling the turn after mine, leaving me with the distinct (and probably correct) feeling that I was pushing twice as much air as everyone else. I have a super power, it's not a very good one, I always manage to sit on the smallest bloke in the bunch.

Commute:
Skinny talking about wanting to get some CX saddle time on the weekend was enough to make me reach for my own tall knobby tyred bike when it came time to roll out. A quick fling* along the few kms of single track between home and the CBD was a nice break to the usual St Kilda Rd journey.
