I plain old had zero legs today. I don't exactly know where they went to after yesterday, but it wasn't Beach Rd.

I pulled a few turns out of Mordi, stopped short of where I got to yesterday and then just sat in the pack wondering where it went wrong.

Tthe data says i averaged 171bpm from the turn at Mordi until I shut down at the turn to Ormond Esplanade. In a way that's nice to hear, because that's what it felt like, threshold work... while sitting on wheels.

I was so dejected by how my legs felt I let the bunch go and then made the turn at Glen Huntly to go up Barkly rather than roll along the foreshore and have the BP sign bear witness to my shame.

Rolling home in the warm afternoon air I had my arms and legs exposed... it felt obscene. I kept expecting mothers to hurriedly pull their children aside and shield their eyes as I passed.

"Hush Timmy, he's almost gone. Stop crying, I'll protect you from his hideous white flesh."
