6am NRR:
Well.... that wasn't very restful at all. A split in the bunch by some lights on the way down the highway saw me drilling myself at threshold as part of the futile effort to bring everything back together. Futile? Yeah, we copped every possible set of lights meaning it was hard on the gas then hard on the anchors for 10km.

I stopped working for the return leg and sat on waiting for coffee. My legs still telling me about the weekend's moving in / stair repeats.

Tried out a new massage dude today, Mark Fabbi, a recommendation by Mikkeli Godfree due to his skill and closeness to my work.

In fact he's right above the coffee shop I frequent every day, a fact that caused me to apologise for the screaming to my favourite barista.

So looking at that "suffer score" and how it's trended for the last few weeks, I cant help but finally admit my ad hoc style might not be the ideal path I've been taught over the years. Instead of building to a peak over 3 weeks then taking it easier for one, then building to a higher peak. What I do looks more like the power profile for a flying 200m. Big spike at the start, then a slow decay from there until everything shuts down.

I might chat to Carl and possibly Craig Peacock (when he get's back from Leadville, btw he got 2nd in age category.... 3rd if you count Tinker Juarez who raced open) and see if I can understand what I might be missing out on.
