6am NRR:
The forecast last night said "showers developing in the afternoon", or in other words the morning would be clear. Given the outlook for the rest of the week, it was too good an opportunity to get some kms in to miss, even if I was feeling shattered.

Once on the bike I Felt surprisingly good, I wont suggest I've gotten away Scott free, but the Trek down to Mordi and back was far from Haro-ing.

I um'ed and ah'ed for a good three and half seconds before deciding to stick to the plan and not work turns. I came through for one around Mentone, merely to ensure a place towards the front of the bunch, before once again sitting in and enjoyed the tow to the sprint finish.

The sprint itself was a little slow, I came off the wheel in front at 50, and hit/held 55 before being rolled on the line.
