6am NRR:
I've already started to think about the next challenge and the next series of races. I'd like to return to road racing over winter, spend some more time on the mountain bike (if it's dry) and get some good form before a trip to Taiwan with Jimmy next year. As such today I set out with the desire to work a few turns, nothing too serious, just 2 or 3 efforts on the front to keep things ticking along.

The pace was pretty hot with the tailwind, a minimum of 50km/h including up Rickets Point. It was there I got my best effort in, on the front, the bunch behind me strung out and splintering, my aim was to keep it that way until the top. With 100m to go David Kelly came through on the right and my legs completely shut down sending me backwards. In hindsight I'm a little disappointed that I didn't finish the effort all the way to the top.

The BP sprint was killed off by lights at the canal, still to give my legs one last dose of punishment I kicked hard on the green and accelerated through to the line.
