6am NRR:
Today felt like an off day and I just couldn't get my brain to a place where pushing through it was an option. That said I wasn't overly suffering, I just felt.... "meh".

I did a little work on the way down then played around in the bunch keeping people off wheels or removing them from ones they're on. Possibly not the nicest bloke in the bunch or the best etiquette, but it kept me amused until Elwood where I timed the lights at Glenhuntly and pulled everyone up to the sprint.

That last effort I hoped would "burn through the fog of complacency like a hot knife of pain through butter". As odd as it sounds, that's probably a bit too romantic an idea. Yep hot pain knives are romantic. See you on Feb 14th.
