The other day I had a conversation with Steve, if I recall correctly it went something like this.

Steve: "Dude, you are so ruggedly handsome and I for one think you deserve an award for saving those children from that burning orphanage all while fighting off pirates AND ninjas with your bare hands."

Neil: "Thank you, but really it was nothing."

Steve: "I understand you don't want to make a big deal of it, but you should know that I've nominated you for the Australia day honours. In other news, I feel that recently I have missed some good opportunities to train and I'm feeling down about that."

Neil: "Oh Steve, I know how you feel for even I have done this. I feel that you must adopt a policy of getting your riding done when you can, even if it's not ideal, as you can never predict the future."

Steve: "Ah yes, those are wise words, you are wise, brave and ruggedly handsome."

So, you might now be asking how does this story about how wise, brave and ruggedly handsome I am relate to NRR? I was there to sprint and had done very little work when the ride got neutralised after we rolled past a cyclist out on the road.

So I'm left feeling down about the missed opportunity.
