I never felt great this morning, but in hindsight I never really suffered either.

Coming through Elwood I thought I was positioned well to sprint, but moments later I looked up the road to see someone 5-10 in front of me had dropped the wheel with 15 people in front of the gap. 20-25 riders, that's waaaay too far back for the sprint, for shits and giggles I went early, chased the tail of the 15 down, but could only watch as 20m up the road a few guys got to contest for the line.

It's a little deflating, when all you set out to do is play in sprints and you position yourself poorly, then you're kind of left with nothing. I feel like I should have done NRR yesterday as well, to increase the odds of getting to do what I want (surely I cant miss-read the bunch every time).

You wouldn't have missed the sprint if you had those Super Record levers you sleep with under your pillow :-)
