Melbourne - Mordialloc - Melbourne:
Had nice easy roll with the soleDevotion boys down to Mordi and back.

SKCC Crits:
First crit back this season, big wheels were on, and I had a couple of points I wanted to tick off.

Firstly, to survive.
Secondly, to test the legs.
Thirdly, to test the legs in the sprint.

I ticked off the first one easily, the second worked well with some non selfish goals and got ticked off as well. Clarky has had an emotional week and wanted desperately to bury it in a sea of pain, and hopefully victory. I told him I'd get him off the front to a break if one went, well... one went and I put everything into a 2 lap chase only to peel off and find he wasn't on my wheel.

Luigi came past up the outside with 4-5 laps to go and called for me to follow him, in hindsight I should have as I ended up too far back to even consider contesting the sprint (25th-ish into the last corner).

Good to get one out the way, I'm now more confident in my legs and had a bit of fun... especially getting air off the big lump of hotmix when hammering it up the left in the back straight.

ABOC Sprint:
1 x 1/4 lap Power jump @ 82"
2 x 1/4 lap Power jump @ 106" (3up, react to lead rider)
1 x 1/2 lap Power jump (seated) @ 106" (3up, react to lead rider, 20km/h)
2 x 1/2 lap Power jump (seated) @ 108" (2up, side by side, 25km/h)
1 x 500m MAC @ 102"
1 x 750m Windout, rider last 100m @ 102"
1 x 500m Sprint @ 82"

Lots of big gear work, lots of seated work, then stupidly fast speeds behind the motorbike.

The MAC and Windout both tasted like tabouli, tuna* and bile.

I topped out in the MAC and was unable to stay on top of the gear for the last 150m. My legs went wobbly and I lost control at my hips. I wasn't impressed, so worked hard to stay driving through the legs during the windout.

In the final sprint I was paired with Chris Dann. He went hard at a lap to go and there was a brief pause before I reacted. During the pause the following exchange occurred:

Body: Really?
Brain: Let me check.
Me: Yes.
Brain: He says yes.
Body: Why?
Brain: Why?
Me: Because fuck you, that's why!

CE: 1

RHR: 64bpm
