Hell Ride:
I'm proud that I went out today. It wasn't raining when I left the house, but the roads were wet and the forecast was grim.

I found cafe racer almost empty, perhaps all the soleDevotion boys were saving their legs for tomorrows start to the crit season.

As the clock tower in Black Rock showed 6:55am there was only me and the guy I rode down with, by 7am we had 8, and the final total when you add in the riders we picked up en route was a measly 10.

There was no super intensity with the pace, 2 up all day long with long turns on the front. The pace from Frankston to Mt Eliza was enough to push me given there's not a lot of drafting at that pace and on kids the size of the ones at the front.

That's really the story of the day, drizzle set in at Frankston so sitting on the front was an advantage that I begrudgingly gave up.
