As I head into another week with disrupted training and a race on the weekend I've had a few thoughts about if I am doing everything I can to be the best I can be? The short answer is no. Quitting my job and training full time would certainly make me faster.

So what if we get more specific, is the answer still no? Given that I'm working full time am I doing everything I can? Nope.

The first thing I could do is choose mtb, road or track and focus my training on that. I could get more precise on my efforts by sitting on the trainer and nailing interval after interval.

All that is true, though they each have an element of sacrifice that I'm not currently capable or willing to make, which leaves me with the idea that I am close to doing what I can given the situation and mental state I am have.

All that said, I should probably get more hills in.
