Hell Ride:
I pulled few early turns before "some bloke in Croydon Cycle Works kit" (turned out to be Tommy Leaper) began to tear the legs off the bunch. Seriously, ouch. 8 people back it was well and truly in the gutter as Tom and the westerly wind ganged up to make life horrible.

The pain continued up Olivers Hill, I couldn't hold onto the first few riders and over the top a 6-10m gap opened up that took a lot of soul searching and time in the box to close.

The return leg was a lot nicer, things slowed down, but the cross wind picked up meaning it was best to put in a little work to stay towards the front and thus out of the right hand lane.
