6am NRR:
The time shift with the end of daylight savings has meant early mornings are (for the moment) a little easier as well as a bit more desirable for rides than their after work counterparts. So, North Road Ride it's been a while, but I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other in the coming weeks.

I tried my best to stay in the little ring for the trip down the highway, when the speeds hit 50km/h the temptation to go to a gear that didn't require 160rpm was great.

I'd intended to roll a couple of turns on the way back then play in the sprint. Instead I made 1 move from 2/3 of the way down the bunch all the way to the front and spent the rest of the ride trying to convince my body that the world wasn't ending. At one point with about 2-3 more riders to pass to make the front, I noted my HR was at 191bpm which I (of course) dismissed instantly because I already knew it hurt and I also knew that there was no stopping until I had pulled through to the very very front.

A post ride coffee was very much required.
