This new shorter commute in general isn't awesome but it does have some perks when you've got fat tyres beneath you. Pedestrian crossings that jut out into the road provide for little transitions and jumps with very little deviation of path.

A fairly lazy roll tonight, we had a few new riders who'd never seen the outer trails before.

We worked our way through the trails from Banyule Flats out to Bonds Rd, turned left into the 3 hills route to the back of Westerfolds and were instantly reminded how steep the first one is and how relentless the last one is.

I opted to stay with the slowest of the new riders around Hans' loop. I wanted to go play with Downie but it felt important to ensure they got around safely. I still got to have fun, push through a section then ease up to ensure they were with me, repeat.
