SKCC Crit:
Today I was pack fodder, and I couldn't be happier about it. Not once did I put my wheel at the front, not even on the extras before and after the race.

So why am I happy? Simple, because I was able to ride without issue.

Well that's not exactly true, racing in 37°c heat pushed my heart rate up 10-15 beats higher than it felt like it should be. It was not uncommon to come out of a corner, glued to the wheel in front, just spinning through a gear and have my HRM telling me I was at 92% of my max. That's almost unheard of on my roadbike, even on the MTB that's rare.
