I'm not sure if it was being back on the geared bike, better legs or Erin being a bit off, but tonight I found it pretty easy to hold his wheel as compared to two weeks ago.

We headed in on trails that were wickedly fast in a straight line due to them being dry and hardpacked but still sketchy in the corners due to some sand and dust on the surface. I don't think I was the only one to go completely sideways into a corner at 40.


The pace wasn't earth shattering, so I attacked a few hills to open my legs up and remind them that I still require them to work for me.
