Lateral step ups? Yeah well they're another evolution in out step up range, carrying the trend of negative/eccentric motion first on, you stand on the side of the box, rather than the back (step sideways not back). We were challenged to only let our heel touch the ground, which removes any calf spring one might get from a toe touch.

The box jumps were fun, trying to convince yourself that you just had to put your feet on the box, despite the top being higher than the last set you did, which I should add also seemed high.

In a classic case of bigfatmouthitis I proved that I can step up onto the 31" box, sure it wasn't pretty, but it's possible. Anyway, odds on proved it is possible is going to come back to hurt me.
