Blood Donation:
Needles make me a little queasy, it's just the thought of them, or perhaps the thought of them piercing skin. Oddly enough, once a needle is in, I'm not so bothered, in fact when I was sitting in the chair this morning I was weirdly fascinated by blood coming out of a tube in my arm.

First off they take a little baggy, at a really rough guess I'd suggest 20-30mL, so they can easily grab some sample vials. I watched as my little sample baggy slowly filled, and must have been frowning as I looked back and forth between me and the bloke to my right (who appeared to have filled more) as my medical attendant person assured me it wasn't a race.

Still, he must have felt it was a little odd as he resettled the needle with a comment about "maybe it's on a valve". Turns out that was the ticket, and the final results speak for themselves.

First: Neil
Second: Dude to my right

As if it wasn't a race! :)
