Hell Ride:
In short we had mixed weather, mixed speeds and I have mixed emotions.

It'd been a while since I last rode the Hell Ride, so I sequestered myself up the back while I evaluated my performance. At times we were hitting over what felt like 50km/h into the wind, but it may have been slightly less, the next minute we were cruising in the high 20's low 30's.

I was still up the back when we reached Hopes Rise. I always forget how much of an issue that is, riders swarm 6 wide to try and get into a road that's only got room for 4 people abreast. Inevitably there was a ton of work to be done over the top to get back to the main group.

The descent down Olivers was a blast, a ripping tailwind had us belting along the flat bottom at 60+.

That's really about as exciting as it was, I felt a bit flat and only saw the front once for a tiny tiny turn. Otherwise I kept to myself or chatted to Belly who was out to put the finishing touches on his legs before Wild Side.

Being finished by 9am left me a whole day to do sweet fuck all. I think at last count I took 3 naps before retiring to bed early.
