Weights:
My morning ride was canned due to the weather, so still wanting to give my legs a little bit of pain before racing tomorrow I grabbed some weights and had a mini session at home. I've labelled this weights because, well Jeff didn't tell me to do it, so I can't call it Jeff's now can I?
2 x 20 Deck squats
5 x 10ES @ 20kg Clean and jerk (long cycle)
3 x 10 @ 30kg Bears
I did the LCCJ in 2 minute sets, smash out both sides as quick as possible and use the time left in the 2 minutes as rest. This worked out around 1 minute on, 1 minute off.
Bears, despite using a regular bar and less weight, were balls. I did my best to hammer them out, but by rep 7-8 of each set I was shaking during the press on both sides and had full on panic breathing.
I've offered to help Ian out in the SKCC crits tomorrow, which means dropping back to B-Grade. I really want to help the lad out, but it's going to be odd going back a grade. We're going to aim for an early break, I'm sure it'll take a few attacks until it sticks, worst case scenario I'll wind it up from 3 laps out and see how long I can hold the baying hoards off.
