Hell Ride:
I really was unmotivated about riding today, I deliberated what I should do for 2-3 hours last night, eventually settling on laying out all my gear and seeing how I felt this morning. Well my alarm went off and I got out of bed before my brain had time to kick in and demand more sleep, so down to the Hell Ride it was.

I ran a little late in leaving the house and put in a good ITT to get to Black Rock by 7:00. My legs were on fire but regardless of how hard I pushed myself I was unable to shake the guy who was sitting on my wheel.

Nothing particularly exciting to report about the Hell Ride itself, it held a good fast tempo through out and I sat in most of the way. I did get caught by a couple of lights and opted to do the bridging efforts.

I had a chat with one of the A-Graders I rode with a few weekends ago in the wind and he was surprised at the handicap I got for Preston Mountain Classic. In his words "you're strong", it was nice to hear.

Finishing up at the same time as the Spoke(n) boys I headed with them for a coffee and a muffin. The world seems like a better place when you've got food in your belly and are high on endorphins and caffeine. :)
